Easily, my favorite golf book. Although some swing tips are included, this is not an instruction book. Primarily, it consists of stories detailing Sam Snead’s rise to success on tour.

There are wonderful accounts of competition, particularly match play. Snead was quite a psychologist…and a very tough competitor.

The writing by Al Stump is outstanding. You’ll find yourself reading this book over and over. Especially during the off-season.
